IF you want to go fast go alone, IF you want to go far go together.

1_yhamfdzorezsux8xub1umgThis African proverb stuck with me ever since I read it on the whiteboard in my freshman math class. I’ve always thought that the proverb forced you to choose one or the other. However, as I tried to connect it to stories or my personal life, I came to the conclusion that it simply depends on the situation. For instance, when one is required to conduct a lab, some people would prefer to work alone to avoid burdens and keep everything constant in their mind. In the opposite way, those who are open-minded when conducting an experiment work together to solve the situation at hand.

I enjoy reading this quote because of the discussions that can be made from it. I talk about it with friends and we sometimes agree. Overall, its just a good proverb that I enjoy saying when I have the chance. Please comment down below, if you have any questions or if have something nice day. Later to you all and have a nice day.

This post was written by one of my classmates and I wanted to share it. “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” It really spoke to me; I’ve always been more of a “solo fighter” but after playing sports for a long time, I came to see the value of teamwork.
